Compounding

Tailored prescriptions prepared by our experienced team to suit your individual needs.

Medication designed around your health

Standard medications don't always fit standard lives. We prepare prescriptions that match your exact requirements, whether that means adjusting the dose, removing allergens, or changing the form entirely.

Precise dosing

We prepare medications in the exact strength you need. No more splitting pills or guessing at doses that don't quite fit your body's requirements.

Allergen-free options

We remove dyes, lactose, gluten, and other common allergens from your medications. This matters when standard formulations cause reactions or side effects.

FAQ

Find answers to what matters most about our compounding service.

What is compounding?

Compounding is the art of preparing medications tailored to your specific needs. Our pharmacists create custom formulations that standard medications cannot provide, whether you need a different dose, form, or ingredient combination.

Who benefits from compounding?

Compounding is ideal for patients with unique or specific medication needs. This includes those with allergies to certain ingredients, patients requiring discontinued or non-commercially available medicines, children who need adjusted doses, and individuals who have difficulty taking standard tablet or capsule forms.

Our compounding service allows medications to be tailored to suit each patient’s individual requirements.

How do I get started?

Simply chat with our team in store, or contact us via phone or email. We’ll discuss your needs and determine whether a compounding solution is appropriate for you.

Can compounded medications work with my allergies?

Yes. Compounded formulations can be tailored to exclude common allergens such as gluten, lactose, and dyes, allowing us to better suit your individual sensitivities and requirements.

What forms can be compounded?

We can prepare medications in a variety of forms, including tablets, capsules, liquids, creams, gels, suppositories, pessaries, and troches.

If you have difficulty swallowing pills or require a topical or alternative form, we can tailor a solution to suit your needs.

What don't we compound?

As we are not a sterile compounding facility, we are unable to prepare sterile products such as injections, implants, or eye drops.

Is this safe for children or the elderly?

Yes. Compounded medications can be prepared for patients of all ages, including children and the elderly. We can tailor doses, add flavouring to make medications more palatable for children, and provide alternative forms for those who have difficulty swallowing.
